Privacy notice
privacy.
This page explains what Converge Vision collects when you pre-register, why, who sees it, and how to ask us to change or delete it. It also covers how we use cookies on this site.
who we are
The data controller for this site and the pre-registration form is CONVERGE VISION SRL, a company registered in Romania with its registered office at Str. Clopotarii Vechi, Nr. 18, parter, Apartament Camera 3, Sector 1, Bucharest, Romania, tax identification code (CUI) 53084835, Trade Register number J2025096012001, legally represented by Dragoș Apostol, Administrator (“Converge”, “we”). If you have any question about this notice or about your data, contact [email protected]. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to; the address above is the contact point for all privacy matters.
what we collect
When you submit the pre-registration form, we collect:
- Name — so we know who to contact.
- Work email — so we can reach you about early access.
- Role — the option you select (e.g. eCommerce Manager, Founder / C-level).
- Store website — the URL you provide, so we can look at your storefront.
- Number of SKUs — a rough figure, so we can size the pilot.
- Consent — whether you ticked the box agreeing to be contacted.
Alongside the fields above, the form also records some technical metadata automatically:
- Page URL — the page you submitted the form from.
- Referrer — the page that sent you to us, if any.
- User agent — your browser and device string.
- Client timestamp — the time your browser recorded the submission.
- Submission ID — a random identifier generated by your browser, used only to prevent the same click being saved twice.
Separately from the form, we use two analytics tools on this site. They only run after you accept statistics cookies in the cookie banner — if you decline, neither loads and neither collects anything.
- Google Analytics 4 — counts visits and tells us which pages people reach and where they came from. It does not receive your name or email.
- Microsoft Clarity — records how pages are used: clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, replayed as an anonymous session recording, plus heatmaps. We use it to find where the site confuses people. Clarity automatically masks text you type, so what you enter into the form is not captured in a recording.
Both tools set cookies and process an approximate location derived from your IP address. Apart from these, and the form data described above, we use no tracking pixels, fingerprinting or hidden data collection. You can withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings in the footer of any page.
why we process it
We process this data on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — the checkbox you tick before submitting the form. We use it for exactly one purpose: to contact you about early access to Converge Vision. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not add you to a newsletter.
Analytics and session recording run on a separate basis: your consent to statistics cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive), given or refused in the cookie banner. Refusing has no effect on the rest of the site — the pages and the pre-registration form work exactly the same.
who sees it
A small number of processors handle this data on our behalf:
- Google (Google Sheets) — where the submitted rows are stored and read by the Converge team. Google may process data in the United States; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Google's Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Cookiebot — logs your cookie-consent choice so we can demonstrate compliance and so the choice can be honoured on return visits.
- Our web hosting provider and Cloudflare (content delivery and security) — serve the site's pages and static assets and may process standard web-server logs (IP address, request time) for security and uptime purposes.
- Google (Google Analytics 4) — audience measurement, only with your consent. Data may be processed in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Microsoft (Clarity) — session recording and heatmaps, only with your consent. Data may be processed outside the EU under Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not share this data with any other third party, and we do not sell it.
how long we keep it
We keep pre-registration data until you withdraw consent, or for 24 months from your last contact with us, whichever comes first. After that period we delete records we haven't followed up with.
your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Port your data to another provider in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, with no effect on processing carried out before the withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your data lawfully.
how to exercise them
Email [email protected] with your request. We'll confirm what we hold and act on it — typically by deleting the row that contains your details — within a reasonable time.
